Why bother coming to Church?

Why bother coming to church?
With the days quickly passing there’s so much to do,
Why bother coming to church?
You’ve got ballgames and shopping and events to go to
Why bother coming to church ?
You spend time with your family, your neighbors and friends,
And on lists of commitments which grow and extend
A schedule jam-packed with no visible end-
Why bother coming to church ?
Oh, you may read your Bible a bit here and there,
And in times of distress turn to God with your care,
And occasionally spend a whole minute in prayer,
But Why bother coming to church ?
The service is long and then Sunday School too,
It wastes the whole morning and there’s fun things to do
Why bother coming to church ?
Well, it’s been quite a while since you’ve been in church for anything over an hour
And you’re sitting there looking back over your life And wondering where is God’s power.
You’ve heard others say how God”s moved in their heart,
And shown Himself strong day by day,
Yet you struggle along knowing not where to start
Or how to find victory today
Why should you be surpised when you struggle and fall,
While seeking to walk all alone?
This is what church is for, and oh so much more-
For fellowship and spiritual Home.
So why not come out Sunday moring and night
And Wednesday night Prayer meeting too-
Be encouraged along through sermon and song,
And Brothers and Sisters like you!
And as you start to grow, God’s ways start to know

Join us for an exciting time as we search the scriptures learning about faith in God, the armor of God, and the way that Christ would have us to live.
